RE: Test photo post

save your Kodak files in a more "normal" format.
bumpy
Can you expand on that a little?
Are you saying I need to download from the camera to the Kodak software on my laptop, and then upload from that to photobucket? I've tried that, without success.
Thanks.
I "assume" that since you said that the program did not recognize your file format, that the Kodak saves in some proprietary type. if so, you could save them into a JPEG or similar format and upload them. Yes download from camera to computer, convert them to another format, and upload them. but hopefully somebody who know what they are talking about :p can jump in here and be helpful.

Me too. I'm gettin' nowhere. :M

RE: Test photo post

Well, looks like I need help.
For quite some time, I've successfully uploaded photos from my old Sony camera to Photobucket where I could then post them to the forum. Now, I get this new Kodak EasyShare camera which is much smaller and has greater resolution (8.0 megapixels). I can't get the photos to upload from the new camera to Photobucket. I've tried the USB connection, and also removed the memory card from the camera and inserted it directly into the laptop. Get an error message that the images don't have a "valid image extension".
Seems I can upload to the Kodak software, but can't get them posted from there to the forum.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Al

RE: Christmas lights on your RV?

Ah Rick, I remember our discussions a year ago at this time and it seems your "better-half" as given in to the idea. Way to go, you may keep your Man-Card!
Not sure what I'll do this year, but probably the same as last.

RE: Cassette potti vs. using a Thetford portapotti

We had a boat with a porta-potty and then a PopUp with a cassette toilet, and the cassette toilet was a LOT easier to deal with.
The cassette toilet is basically a porta-potty that's built in. MUCH easier to empty, as the tank comes out through the side of the trailer, and is handled the same way as you would the tank from the porta-potty.
Pull the tank, put it on the tailgate, drive it to the dump station, empty and replace. Very quick and easy.

RE: First outing with our new Starcraft 13RT

Great pics! Having lived in New Mexico awhile and visiting Arizona a couple times, they bring back memories.
Beautiful campsite.

RE: TH forum the best!

How true.
A couple of years back we traded a perfectly good, 6 month old, paid off PopUp on a Toy Hauler, just so we could be a part of this forum !

RE: Rear-ender - Right in the hitch

I've been "tagged" twice in a similar manner, although both were at less than 5 mph. One by a young lady talking on her cell phone, and the other by a guy that was just an idiot. In both cases, my hitchhead faired much better than the grills of the other cars.
As our tourist season prepares to get in full swing, I've considered welding up a combination steel plate and automotive sized coil spring to mount in my receiver. Maybe then they would just bounce off!

RE: shore cord length?

I cut my original cord to 15ft, which is just enough to reach to the 30A outlet when plugged in at the house. This also has proven to reach most CG pedistals most of the time. I carry an extension for the other times.
You'll seldom know when you're OVER prepared, but you'll ALWAYS know when you're UNDER prepared.

Yep, and the "Tent Camping" forum is hibernation.
We're going next weekend after this "cold front" passes. Today's high is 79 instead of 83.

RE: 12000 lb bumper pull toy hauler-- white knuckle towing?

As long as it's set up right, should be no problem.
My Rage'n is around 13k GVWR, and about 11K -11.5K actually loaded. Simple Drawtite WD hitch, friction sway control, pulled with Chevy 2500HD D/A. Straight as a pin, almost forget it's there on the Interstate.

RE: Suggestions for arriving at Campground after Dark?

Get one of those headband things with the LED headlight. Makes setting up a lot easier with both hands free.

You have my respect, man.
Down here, 68 degrees and a breeze has the weatherman talking about "wind chill".

RE: Roll up shower curtain

You could HAVE the one I took OUT of our Rage'n (SHUB), but I threw it in the trash. Never could get it to keep from popping open midway through the shower and soaking the floor.
Before:

I replaced it with this piece of hi-tech equipment, and love it. Lots more elbow room in the shower!
